Designrr is an online tool that creates ebooks from blog posts, podcasts, videos and pdfs.
During my work, I redesigned the editor, improved the user experience on some of the platform pages, and created a new design system.

TL;DR – Transitions in the editor
The Problem
The Editor was quite outdated in terms of usability, user studies have shown that the average user needs a more simplified interface in order to get an impressive and satisfying outcome.
OUR SOLUTION
Create an intuitive & user-centric design that will help users to create beautiful books with ease.
design PROCESS
I started with researching the problem in-depth to fully understand what the user needs. Researched multiple competitors and read extensive articles about e-book creation. After I got a sense of this field, I watched hours of user testing sessions of the old editor, to find out specific problems. I’ve created a document and then started with planning and design.
This process included creating a brand new design system for the editor and improving the current design system to create consistency.
Later on, I prototyped the editor. The editor is currently in stages of implementing and will be used on real users very soon.

These features make the editor to be intuitive and usable.
This includes dozens of elements that are fully editable and easy to learn, allowing the user to create an amazing e-book every time.

Reflection
I had a lot of fun working on this project, I learned a lot from it about user behavior in complex systems, and learned how to simplify it for them
The system is currently undergoing a redesign and very soon user testing will begin, I am excited to see the results and reactions of the users
